BHPian Dr.Naren recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I had driven close to 25k km with lowering springs and loved the experience. But, the condition of roads which I frequently travel on became worse after the monsoon. It was difficult to judge the depth of potholes filled with water.

The front right fender lining got damaged due to a hit and came off.

I removed it and put it in the car.

I ordered a new part from GoMechanic. It was delivered within a week.

The replacement fender lining from Maruti doesn't come with a cushion / foam piece as seen on the old part.

ODO was nearing 90k km, so decided to get the service done. I had the following parts with me.

I also decided to install the OE springs back, thanks to the road work near my area in Kasaragod.

I went to Maruti for service this time. The mechanic noticed that the strut mounts are worn. To my surprise, Maruti service centre in a village had the super rare SGP strut mounts for S-Cross in stock.

PMS charge for 90k km service was 2500 + tax, thanks to Tier 3 city. If you are getting it done in Nexa service at Bangalore, it is 4400 + tax. Labour charge is really high in tier 1 cities.

I have driven more than 1000 km post service. The engine feels nice and smooth post fresh oil + Ceratec. The brake pedal feel is good with Rowe Dot 5.1 brake fluid. I was expecting smoother shifts with Zic gear oil + Liqui Moly additive. But, I haven't found any difference. I was expecting a significant change in handling post fitting the OE springs, but didn't find a major difference on normal driving. It was raining heavily during my drive to Bangalore from Kasaragod. I need to experience it when I get to test the car properly someday.

Quick visit to Engineering Exponents, Bangalore

HPI filter clamp was broken. They fixed it with a new clamp and also added an additional clamp. Hope it doesn't break again.

I need to change the clutch set and release bearing soon. There is a mild sound from the clutch release bearing. I have the parts with me, will get it done at Engineering Exponents.
